Welcome to the latest edition of our Insights.
The financial landscape continues to evolve, with interest rates, inflation and global economic developments continuing to influence the way Australians think about their finances and investments.
In this edition, we look at the latest interest rate decision from the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA). At its latest meeting, the Board decided to increase the cash rate target to 4.60%.
Inflation remains elevated, with some of the upside risks identified in August now beginning to materialise. The conflict in the Middle East has also broadened, contributing to global energy prices being significantly higher than previously anticipated in the RBA’s August forecasts.
These developments highlight the importance of staying informed and understanding how changes in the broader economic environment may affect your financial position, borrowing costs and longer-term financial goals.
